Swans and 7 Cygnets - Video

In 2010 on a local pond, two swans successfully reared 7 cygnets. I filmed them over a two hour period and you can see the end result here.

If you like swans, especially cygnets then you will love this as it is truly mesmerising and beautiful.

Sorry about the quality, but I had to convert from MPEG2 to AVI as the file was too large in MPEG format.

All 7 cygnets are doing well, but they will soon be outgrowing the nest! I will follow them as they mature and update with pics.

I had my 100mm macro lens on at the time and was unable to zoom out, this is why I accidentally decapitated the mother. Oops!

Mute Swans and 7 Cygnets 27.05.10

Below is some film footage and slide show of a family of mute swans on a local lake in the Forest of Dean. There are 7 cygnets, just under 1 week old!
