Wonderful pictures! We have recently left the FOD after 10 year and with many regrets. I totally agree with you about ALL creatures having a right to life whether a slug or a kingfisher. I am sure that before long the Forest will become an 'elf and safety' issue given that there are wet leaves to fall on, thorns to spear onself on (blackberrying should be reclassified as an extreme sport)and the risk of being concussed by falling acorns! I have heard that the sheep have started to form gangs..
ReplyDeleteSeriously tho' our countryside is part of our heritage and there is nothing quite like seeing a woodpecker availing himself at the bird feeder to lift your spirits!!
Thanks for the kind words Deepa.
ReplyDeleteAs long as there are people like you and I out there, we will be able to hold the horns of the do-gooders and PC parade.
